SWMAG have been highly commended by the Duke of Edingburgh for their work during 2009 on the Bronze Age site. They travel to the Palace on Tuesday 9th November to receive their certificates from the Duke of Edingburgh himself. Its 16 years since they were last there when they received the Gold Medal for the best underwater project of 1993 with the discovery of the Erme Estury Tin Ingots.

PermalinkOn Tuesday 7th September 2010 Ron Howell will give a talk on the Salcombe Bronze Age site to the Blackawton and Strete Historical Society. He will be joined by the Group's research officer Andy Elliott. The talk starts at 2000 at Blackawton village hall.
