Did a talk on SWMAG and Salcombe at my Alma Mater - South Northants BS-AC - last Thursday.
Boy, were they quiet during the talk. Afterwards plenty of people came up and said they were enthralled, and amazed at what the team had achieved and long may it continue.
Probably 'coz most there were divers (and a fair few know some of the team personally) the questions went beyond the usual fair; which was good as it gave a chance to talk about more of the background work that the team does.

Comment on SNBSAC Talk
#13An article in a local Northampton paper about the talk gave the impression that it was SNBSAC that had done the work; think the press were a tad confused.
The chairman of SNBSAC issued the following statement to SWMAG:
The recent article in the Chronicle and Echo about the talk given by SWMAG incorrectly stated that it was SNBSAC that had made the discoveries, not SWMAG. This of course is not the case and it was a misunderstanding on the part of the paper. I immediately contacted the paper on behalf of SNBSAC and SWMAG in order to correct the error, and the online article has been changed to give proper credit. It is also my understanding that a correcting article was also due to appear in the newspaper.
SNBSAC would like to apologise to SWMAG for the confusion.
Best Regards
Chairman
