The short lists for the British Archaeological Awards was issued today. Of particular interest to us was the Best Archaeological Discovery (why); in the order as sent out by the organisers they are:
- Late Bronze Age Copper and Tin Ingots from Moor Sand (that's us)
- Links of Noltland excavations – discovery of Orkney Venus figurines (link)
- The Staffordshire Hoard (link)
Full details of the 2010 British Archaeological Awards are available on the BAA web site.
